Nomex Thread (spun staple)
Fiber Type: Aramid
Finishes: Soft

NOMEX® is an advanced thermal technology from DuPont for end use applications where resistance to heat and flame is a vital performance characteristic. It is used in a variety of forms as an insulating material, for hot gas industrial filtration, in auto parts, transformers and electric motors.

In fibre form, NOMEX® also has superior textile properties, offereing heat resistant thread and enabling fabric and garment manufacturers to produce comfortable, long-wearing and attractive protective clothing. It's most common use is on Fire Department patches and uniforms.

NOMEX will not char at temperatures higher than 675°F

FuFu's Flame Resistant Polyester Embroidery Thread



We are proud to announce a breakthrough in flame resistant thread. FINALLY, a thread developed specifically for machine embroidery! Our Flame Resistant Embroidery Thread was developed to conform to US CFR 1615/1616 legislation covering the fire resistant fabrics and trims specifically for children's sleepwear. This new thread is smooth and sews as well as Rayon or Polyester. It also has the same high sheen as our Polyester embroidery thread. No need for special needles or tension adjustments.
The melting point of our Flame Resistant Thread is 500°F.
Available in a wide range of colors.


GREAT WHEN USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH FLAME RESISTANT BACKING, 6315.
